Personal
You have found my home on the World Wide Web and probably, because you want to download some software. My name is Jan Sijm and I am the author of this simple web site and the software on it. I am a guy from the Netherlands and was born in a small village called Zwanenburg. I currently live by myself in an appartment building called Zorro in Amsterdam, the capital of our small country in Europe.
Just kidding...I have to be serious all day, so why not have a little fun once in a while.

Work
When I was a little boy I developed an interest in computers and I started playing with a Sinclair ZX-81 and an Atari 600XL computer. After some time in the airforce, I am now a professional application- and web site developer working for a company in The Netherlands called KLM Koninklijke Luchtvaart Maatschappij (e.g. the Royal Dutch Airlines). I started working for KLM back in 1987 and I have done all sorts of work related to information technology.
My experience at KLM ranges from programming the central reservations system in assembler on an IBM mainframe to building Windows applications and web sites. I have been an application programmer, application engineer, technical analyst, knowledge development analyst and now I work as an allround application- and web site developer. I have experience in a lot of programming environments, such as Microsoft Visual Studio, IBM WebSphere Studio Application Developer etc. My programming language experience ranges from assembler language to C/C++, Visual Basic and Java/J2EE etc.
